What Can I Expect on My First Visit
?
When you make your first appointment please
allow extra time. We will take a history of your present complaint. We
need to know the nature and location of your complaint and severity of
your symptoms. We will also review past history regarding accidents,
injuries, falls and illnesses.
The next step is to
examine your spine to determine if you have subluxations (malfunctioning
vertebrae). These examinations consist of gentle palpation and
specific orthopedic tests. If subluxations are present you may have
spinal pain, referred pain, loss of range of motion, spinal stiffness
and other problems. If necessary, x-ray examination will be recommended. Following
the gathering of information a report will be given to you outlining our
recommendations. Not every problem requires Chiropractic care. If you
have a non-Chiropractic issue we will refer you to the appropriate place
for help. |
